Brightspeed service ranges from $50 per month to $150 per month. The two main price points most people will be interested in are $50, which gets you either DSL or 200 Mbps fiber, and $65, which gets you 940 Mbps fiber (this is a great deal).
Brightspeed scored 4 out of 5 on value. This means that the speeds you get for the price are above average overall. Brightspeed’s fiber plans are actually among the best deals we’ve seen on fiber service.
The main knock on Brightspeed’s value is the DSL service. While the prices here are competitive, DSL is a terrible value in general, with prices way exceeding the speeds across all providers.

Brightspeed scored a 3.5 out of 5 for equipment and installation. The equipment (and the monthly fee of $15 for it) is pretty average, which is fine. The installation fee of $99 is also on par with other providers, although we’d prefer no installation fee at all. There is a free self-install option, which is nice.

Brightspeed is currently offering its fiber internet, with speeds up to 940 Mbps, for just $65 per month, no contract required. The fastest speeds are only available in a relatively small number of markets, but if you have it available, it’s a really good deal.
Brightspeed doesn’t currently offer any television services, so your bundle options are limited. In fact, the only option you have is to tack home phone service onto your plan for an additional $50 per month, which seems a bit steep for phone service.
Brightspeed requires no contract and has no cancelation fees, so you’re not stuck if you end up deciding it’s not for you. All you’ll be responsible for is returning any equipment you’ve rented. Piece of cake!
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a benefit program managed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that aims to ensure households can get access to affordable internet for work, school, and other essentials. It provides a discount of up to $30 per month on internet service.
Brightspeed participates in the ACP, so eligible Brightspeed customers can take full advantage of the program.
You can find the requirements, as well as a link to apply, at the FCC’s ACP page.
