Internet with Hargray starts at $55 for 200 Mbps and goes up to $115 for 1 gig. Unlike most providers, Hargray’s lowest-speed plan is the most competitive. If you compare its 1 gig plan to other providers, you’ll find it costs almost twice as much. The good news is, most households don’t need speeds that high anyway.
We gave Hargray a 2.5 out of 5 for value, which means it costs a bit more per speed than most providers. It’s also a little harder to leave Hargray than it is other providers. You’ll pay a relatively high installation fee and sign a 1-year contract to get started. And if you leave that contract early, you’ll pay steep early termination fees.

We gave Hargray a 3 out of 5 for installation and equipment because the costs of each balance each other out to about average. Installation costs are on the high side at around $100, but equipment rental costs are some of the lowest we’ve seen at $4–$14 per month.
You can opt for self setup, but it’ll still cost you about the same as a professional install, thanks to a $100 activation fee. It’s refundable after one year of service, but that’s still a hefty upfront cost for doing all the work yourself.

Sometimes Hargray runs promotions, like giving you a $200 credit to help pay early termination fees from your last provider. With this deal you also get a 30-day money-back guarantee and you don’t have to sign a contract to get intro (AKA advertised) pricing. Outside this promotion, first-time customers can get still Hargray’s intro pricing (which is about $15 less per month than regular pricing), but it requires that you keep the service for a year—or risk costly early termination fees.
While Hargray offers multiple services, you can bundle them only with the 200 Mbps internet plan. If this happens to be the speed you're looking for, you can bundle it with TV Basics, home phone, or both. But at most, you’ll save just $5 per month. So if you want faster internet speeds, don't be afraid to skip the bundle.
If you cancel Hargray before your one-year contract is up, you’ll pay an early termination fee of $99 or 50% of the remaining charges on your contract, whichever is higher. That can really add up. If you get a 1 gig plan and cancel in the second month, you could end up owing Hargray over $600!
Hargray participates in the Affordable Connectivity Program, which helps low-income households, schools, libraries, rural health centers, and Tribal peoples get low-cost internet. If you qualify, you could get up to $30 off your Hargray bill.
