Omni Fiber’s two biggest competitors are Frontier and Spectrum. In some areas, the service also competes with either Buckeye Broadband or CenturyLink.
Compared to Spectrum, Omni offers faster speeds at even lower prices, particularly for the 1 gig plan. Compared to Buckeye, you'll pay more for Omni but won't be stuck in a contract. Compared to Frontier and CenturyLink, Omni Fiber is a much better deal than existing DSL plans in the Ohio area.
Overall, we think Omni is actually one of—if not the—best choices in its markets, at least in terms of value.
Canceling Omni Fiber should be simple. There are no contracts, so there are no fees to worry about, and you won’t have to deal with trying to talk your way out of a service agreement. Instead, just let Omni know that you want to cancel and arrange to return your equipment. Usually this involves either mailing it in or dropping it off at a service center.

The HughesNet Gen5 service plans are designed to deliver download speeds of 25 Mbps and upload speeds of 3 Mbps, but individual customers may experience different speeds at different times of the day. Speeds and uninterrupted use are not guaranteed and may vary based on a variety of factors including: the configuration of your computer, the number of concurrent users, network or Internet congestion, the capabilities and content of the websites you are accessing, network management practices as deemed necessary, and other factors. When you connect to the HughesNet service using Wi-Fi, your experience will vary based on your proximity to the Wi-Fi source and the strength of the signal.
